Our driver was a hero. As the bus was clearly stuck in Everett, for unknown reasons, even when headquarters was called, our driver stepped up and ubered to a spare bus in another town. We were still over 2 hours late across the board, but at least the bus driver made sure we eventually reached our destination. For all we know, that bus in Everett never left or arrived.
Literature says Bolt bus fills 50 seats, and wifi, which I expected, allowing for a modecum od SOCIAL DISTANCINGand sime sort of entertainment on the trip. Wekk, no wifion yhe bus, bo explication, just no eifi... At the STOPS in Tacoma and Olympia , additional passengers entered. Enough to fill EVERY SEAT, thus over crowding the bus and NO SOCIAL DISTANCING of any sort, my legs were going numb from lack of movement ( i was ‘fortunate’ enough to uphave a 6 foot 6inch basketball player in the seat next to me.) before we arrived in Portland. the trip was horrible, and i eveb the time and place for departure in seattle is convenient doubt i will ever ride BoltBus again. I am very disappointed
Driver was very personable. He told us how to lock the restroom door among other welcoming and orientation remarks.
He encouraged riders to ask him any questions we might have had.
We arrived early and the bus driver kindly let us broad the earlier bus - many thanks
Only one complaint. We were seated at the back of the bus and the toilet smelt strongly of urine for most of the journey.
Apparently the bus before ours never arrived and they loaded us on our bus and the other passengers were still there. On the return trip to Seattle the bus was 45 minutes late and the seat I was in was broken
All fine except the plug outlets did not work, the wifi did not work and there was an insistent buzz coming from the speakers overhead that was very irritating.
Lateness was due to terrible traffic.
Driver needs a little training about not stomping on the brakes so hard so often
Seats not comfortable for such a distance.
Thanks for having enough toilet paper!
bus arrived 20 mins late for depart and 40 minutes late on arrival. the driver was unfriendly and unhelpful, just standing by as passengers crawled into the luggage space under the bus to fetch their bags
Seattle station was almost comically dingy and smelled terrible. Bus driver, Sally, harassed me for my shorts (which were appropriate length but khaki, so they blended with my skin) and, in front of the line of almost entirely men, claimed it looked like I wasn’t wearing shorts and called my outfit “inappropriate,” which was not only an attempt at humiliating me but also led to many men making comments at me as they passed me to take their seats. Sally also treated some Dutch tourists very nicely while being very rude and condescending to two men speaking Arabic behind me. She assumed, based on their appearance, that they were Latino and then switched to barking very disjointed Spanish to them in an equally condescending fashion. When they told her that they didn’t understand what she was saying, she just yelled in Spanish louder, attracting negative attention to them like she had me. Sally also made the same depressing “jokes” at every stop, which became so painfully redundant that I had to put in earplugs. Bus was clean and new. Portland bus station had two children who looked like they were in middle school or freshmen in high school at their “store.” Altogether extremely bizarre and slightly offensive experience.
My seat was damaged. The arm rest was torn up and the seat bottom was bent downward, causing me to slip forward every time the bus slowed down. Also, no USB plug at my seat.
The bus was efficient and the driver was a good driver. However the bus was pretty dirty/messy. The floors had liquid spilled near my seat, the trash bags were overflowing and the seats had a lot of crumbs on them. One seat seemed to be broken and was leaning to one side.
Already annoyed about their strict baggage policies, on top of that it was late, the drivers were rude (the one I had was fine but some others), and the passengers were less than ideal
Bus Driver was great! My wife and I both were pleased that the driver was present and competent. Excellent driving skill, and style.
We had a 1+ hour delay due to freeway construction on I-5. :( 3 lanes into one ~90 min delay.
We had a really fantastic driver Orion who tried her best to safely make up the time. The wifi did not work and there was no ac but aside from all of that it was a pleasant trip
I was surpised not every row had an outlet. I moved my seat as thankfully it wasn't very crowded. Both of the outlets were very loose and need to be replaced with a new setup that will hold the charger cords more firmly. Also the wifi cut out several times and I had to restart the movie I was watching. I did appreciate the entertainment options. The worst thing was the smell of the restroom that wafted up to the front of the bus where I was sitting. As there were less than 20 people on the bus I was surprised at the odor and would have appreciated the ability to open a window for ventilation.
