I travel to Albany often & each time the driver is late. Which isn’t good I have timed visits at Albany hospital with my husband certain hours I need to be in attendance. Today I was able to see my husband got 2 hours. I had to cut my visit short because my return trip was at 3:30pm. This is totally a problem for me.
I am extremely satisfied with Greyhound, i have traveled several times in the last two months using Greyhound and the Driver is why I am so satisfied, he's very polite, always smiling, and always exceeds my expectations in getting me to my destination either ahead of time or right on time.
I have been using AdirondacksTrailways for years. The line is reasonably priced with good service. there are changes i am not happy with. Now if your have to change the bus time there is a $20 charge for the change. Also the holiday charges are now outrageous.
My trip was great. However, the driver was not friendly in person or over the mic. He spoke to the passengers like we were kids. He kept repeating himself and would yell words like “ lower”. He could have not stayed professional but do it in a nice manner.
The bus was packed and dirty. The seat in front of me was literally stitched together. I was sitting in the seat closest to the bathroom and the door kept swinging open. The bus stopped about 1 hour into our journey because the tires were over heating and we had to wait until they cooled down. We were stopped for close to an hour. I arrived at my destination shortly before 7 pm when I was meant to arrive at 5 pm. I was also uncomfortable the entire journey because the seats were uncomfortable.
Bus was an hour and 30 minutes late, and l think they oversold the trip., too many people. Also, the staff did not give any information to passengers about the ststus of the bus.
I had an hour to change buses in port authority. I spent over an hour in the queue for customer services because the machines gave an error code when attempting to print my ticket. I therefore missed my bus and had to wait 5 hours for the next one. This the second time I have fallen for this scam of a company. Apparently this happens all the time according to customer services, something to do with it "booking the bus but not the time slot" which sounds made up on the spot. Don't know whether it is bus bud's fault, greyhounds, or both. And everything smells like piss just to top off the experience.
Coming home there was barely any air conditioning. Driver stopped for ice cream . That was nice but it delayed arrival time. Y seatbelt was broke . My seat uncomfortable.
The way the bus drivers try to enforce the rule of no speaking on cell phones need to be reevlauated. Maybe even giving a reason for why, instead of treating paying customers (adults) like they're children would be helpful. To instruct people to talk low while on the phone, versus saying "limit any call to 30 seconds" or calling people out who are on the phone and threatening to stop the bus is unprofessional and childish.
My trip to Albany was perfect. Great driver. My trip back to NYC was timely. The driver put his personal items in the front seat. I would have enjoyed the trip home more if I could have sat in front. He refused to move his items so I had no choice but to sit in the second row. I feel I paid for any seat that is open and the drivers personal items shouldn’t be in passenger seats.
Bought an 11pm bus and was exepext to arrive in Albany by 1:30am. The bus was 30 minutes late at Port authority,l. They then loaded us on a Montreal bus (which is fine) however that bus had scheduled stops throughout the ride pushing arrival to 2:30am. This is very inconsiderate of riders traveling at this hour, and there was not even a formal apology at any point in this ordeal
