Extremely punctual and staf organised the commuters well to at the respective terminals before going down the Lines to board the train.
The driver to Boston today, 11.7.22 on our 6.50am train was very engaging in his announcements and a chirpy guy.
Bus was cancelled without any warning. Had to find out from people in line. Had to rebook a ticket, and by the time I did, I could only leave the next day.
Absolutely horrible service. Waited for 1 hour in the station and it never arrived. No message or email. There was a link to track whether that bus was in time or not. It showed all in time upto 1 hour. Then it says cancelled without any warning or explanation. We tried to call, no one available in the customer service. And certainly there was no physical person in the station to update. Worst bus service ever.
The bus still arrived in Boston on time! Actually 15 mins. Early and the bus was only going the speed limit. But there was less traffic than I expected once out of downtown NY.
The trip that was supposed to take 4.5 hours took 8 hours in total. In 8 hours one can travel to different countries. I understand it was because of thanksgiving traffic but the bus that left after us (the 2 pm bus was also late and left after us around 4:15-4:30 pm) somehow reached to Boston more than an hour earlier. I do not understand this logically. However, our driver was extremely kind and nice and did not leave us starving and dehydrated for such a long time. We were able to stop for max 15 mins for fulfilling our basic survival needs.
Greyhound staff admitted they had an issue with the system and sold more than 300 tickets for a single bus which has a capacity of about 50. So our bus never showed up.
There was poor communication at the bus station as there was an announcement that all busses were cancelled on 8/21. However this bus that was due to arrive at 8:05pm arrived around 9:15pm but we had to call the Greyhound customer service to find that information out, it was not communicated to us.
The person sitting across from me was vaping a smoking device, drinking alcohol and not wearing a mask the whole ride. I told the driver but he did nothing. If I was not already on the bus to Boston I would have got off. I would like to be refunded for this horrible experience!
Was not expecting to be on a packed bus. Every seat was filled except for the 2 behind the driver. Several people were coughing on the trip. I’m writing this review for those who don’t realize what they are getting into.
Everything fine, except one very important thing! NO OULET to charge my phone. Some seats had one but was vey disappointed not all them! It’s a 4 and half hour trip and there should be plugs to charge your device
Honest review here!!! I can of course only talk about my experience. I was scared when reading the reviews because they’re honestly bad. My biggest fear was that they were going to tell me the bus was never arriving. But the opposite. We arrived 1 hour earlier by mistake and there was a guy for the 9:00 am bus that was leaving. He saw us freezing and asked us if we wanted to stay at his office. I was glad there was an office nearby. We thanked him but we went for breakfast instead. When we came back our bus was there before 10:00 am we went inside fast, no problem with the tickets or anything. The bus was soooo clean, the seats where spacious. The heat was working great, the driver was driving at a good speed. I can only talk good things about this ride.
