Driver can be more directive especially people like myself who don't speak Portuguese
I had a flight from Faro at 12pm. Bus by schedule should have arrived to Faro at 10.10am. At 10.40am the bus was 30 kilometers far from faro. I had to get off the bus in some village and pay extra €24 for taxi to the airport.
Very happy with our bus driver really friendly and efficient. Very disappointed with the fact we booked our return trip from Lisbon at the same time we booked the outgoing journey but by mistake booked it th wrong way round and immediately tried to change to the correct destination without success and we tried at the station in Lisbon and the staff were very unhelpful and quite abrupt and insisted we buy a new ticket so obviously leaving us out of pocked for a genuine mistake which we tried to correct minutes after booking so disappointed. We had our journey on 24 July returning on 27 July any suggestions.
the driver stopped 2 times during the trip 1x: to 'verbally mistreat' some passengers for the use of the mask with blackmail to leave them in the middle of the way
2x: for the police to come in and 'verbally mistreat' some of the passengers who couldn't even speak Portuguese.
The bus driver first was extremely rude to us and several other passengers when loading the bus and trying to figure out if it was the correct bus. Then during the trip, got into a full blown argument with 2 older/1 younger female Portuguese passengers to the point that a younger Portuguese male had to intervene, as he was verbally disrespectful to and abusing them. Very unprofessional, uncomfortable and unsafe for all the rest of the passengers!
Overally great ride, the driver was super friendly. It was not on time in Lagos, but that was caused by making additional stops so people will be closer to their destinations so it was fine
There was no toilet in the bus (3,5hours) and the driver was really short en rude. There was no time to go to the toilet at the busstops. But it was al clean and the driver was on time ver well.
For some reason we had to switch the bus and driver didn’t speak any eanglish, so we where confused until some passenger translated to us what was going on .
I have a disability , my
Wallet was taken prior and had to get to Lisbon for credit card. Australian not speaking Portuguese and stranded. Driver not interested but without listening wasn’t going to let me on bus. Without a mask Had a dirty T-shirt could have used pulled up over nose but he said no . Lady very kind and gave me her spare. … it would have been great to be stranded with 7 euro in your pocket. Need certain understanding, wouldn’t happen in my country.
Comfy seats and had electrics to charge your phone - inc. wifi. Staff were friendly enough. Arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes late but I believe perhaps the security did hold us up for about 20-30 minutes. I’d only suggest a break inbetween… It was a very long journey and we had no breaks so it became uncomfy over time and the toilets were locked so we couldn’t even use the toilet, which for myself became a problem.
Driver seemed angry and annoyed... wasn't a nice experience I had paid for my ticket to Costello branco and when we got to the exchange the driver was shouting that I had to buy a new ticket and told me to get of the bus as with other travelers we where all confused and he drove off ..the next stage of the journey I cannot express my up most value of the new driver he was fantastic...not a nice start to my journey but ended excellent...
Toilet on bus was not available - door was locked. Missing information at the stops about how long break before continuing driving. Information in English would be great as many are travellers.
It’s my first time in Portugal with Rede Expresso, I appreciate!
But at Coimbra station, must to put more informations for the touriste, like at Porto station….
Obrigada
Very comfortable ride. No stops along the way, not crowded, free wifi, electrical outlet below seats, and air conditioning - it was a luxurious ride fit for kings and queens.
We unfortunately made a mistake in our connection in Lisbon and missed the bus. We had to buy a separate ticket from Rede Expressos from Lisbon to Lagos.
You can bring 1 carry on and 1 luggage in the hold of the bus with a maximum weight of 20 kg, free of charge. Don't forget to label it with your name, phone number, and address.
